Badlands National Park

Museum Technician

- Rehouse paleontological specimens in archival cradles

- Work with on-site archival material to digitize historic records

- Enter cataloging data into Rediscovery ICMS using established NPS procedures

- Prepare paleontological specimens in accordance with NPS standards in an open lab setting

- Affix catalog numbers  and field numbers to objects
- Repack objects in the lab with care and prepare permanent data records

Badlands National Park

Geoscientist in the Parks

- Prepare fossils found in the park, take lab notes, make archival cradles, interact with visitors, assist in field collection

* CPR and First Aid Certified by the American Heart Association

 

Museum of Geology

Museum Assistant

- Give tours

- Identify fossils

- Pick through matrix for microfossils, 

- Repair specimens damaged from being displayed

* Created permanent exhibit showcasing fossils from the Big Pig Dig of South Dakota
